My Review: DS Lite

The DS Lite fucking rocks. It’s by far the best system i have ever owned. You can tell Nintendo actually brought a designer in on this one with all the subtle changes that make this system ten times better. I've had the Lite for a little over a week now and the biggest change that everyone notices is the 5x brighter screen. It’s amazing the quality in the picture lets you really see the game and in turn you can truly appreciate the graphics, especially in New! Super Mario Bros. The other big thing is the design change. No more bulky monster, just a clean sleek system. the size difference is small but enough to make a big difference. The stylus is bigger too so now its a little easier and more comfortable to hold. also, buttons have been rearranged for the better, much better. the power button has be relocated to the right side of the system and springs back like a psp would. no more accidentally turning off your system because you over shot up on the directional pad. the start/select buttons have slid down a bit just below the a/b/x/y buttons allowing for them to move up and make it a little bit more comfortable to play. The mic also made a move to the middle of the system right between the screens. now you can actually blow/talk towards the screen instead of off to the corner. a couple more design features i forgot to mention is the hinge. no more fucked up looking shit in the middle of your system, just nice clean lines. also the designer went as far as to make a symmetrical cover for the GBA slot which is positioned off center when the cap is removed. the only complaint i have with the system is when i got mine i had 6 dead pixels on the top screen that kinda bummed me out but i got the insurance for $20 (which i recommend doing, seriously) and no questions asked they replaced it for me. EB Games rocks and the guys at Lakeside are great. other than that, a perfect system. I'd give this system a strong 9 out of 10.
