15 Year Old Bus Driver
Apparently this 15 year old kid stole a city bus and took it on rout picking up and dropping off passengers. The kid told a deputy after he was stopped and arrested "I drove that bus better than most of the LYNX drivers could, and there isn't a scratch on it. I know how to start it, drive it, lower it, raise it."

Firefox 2.0 Problem Solved
I found an extension today called Nightly Tester Tools that allows you to force Firefox into believing an extension is compatible with the current version and enables it. The only fault is you still cannot install old extensions, only enable the ones you already have. However, if you want to install an old extension you can follow this easy tutorial. This solved all my problems and I am now running 2.0. Sweet!

My Review of Firfox 2.0 (Update 3)
Well I downloaded Firefox 2.0 today and started exploring the new version right away. I have to tell you though I doubt I'm going to stick with it. As cool as the new features are like anti-phishing, active spell checking, and a better RSS tools, 2.0 wasn't compatible with 12 of my extensions that are important to me. A few of these are "Colorful Tabs" (separating my many open tabs by color), "Download Embedded", and "Menu Editor" (allowing me to remove menu clutter I don't use). However some of these extensions were replaced by 2.0's built in features like "Search Engine Ordering", "Session Saver", and pieces of "Super T". Other negatives are the clutter you can't remove like the go and search buttons. 2.0 also adds a close tab button to every tab that just gets in the way and causes problems. I find myself closing more tabs by mistake than selecting them. Luckily there is an added undo close tab feature that holds it's own history. All in all I'm very unimpressed with the clutter and compatibility issues and will most likely revert back to 1.5. The poor spell checker and RSS reader just isn't enough to hook me though I do suggest it for new users. Oh, I also checked out IE7 and it's not worth your time unless you have a problem with Firefox. It's second rate garbage in comparison.
Update: I've alreay gone back to 1.5.0.7 and it's only been an hour. I view a lot of tabs at once and I just couldn't go without my tab extensions.
Update: Firefox 2.0 has not yet been officially released. (I downloaded from a mirror.) Incompatible extensions may be updated with the actual release of 2.0 solving a chunk of my problems.
Update: I found these two extensions that work with Firefox 2.0 called No Tab Close Button and No Go Buttons fixing two issues i had with 2.0.

iRecord iPod DVR
This bad ass little device will record you TV shows and movies directly on to your iPod in h.264 video (about 3 hours per GB). No more middle man but is that worth the $200 price tag. I'd buy one if I had the money.

Video: Line Rider
Line Rider is a new flash game sweeping the internet. The object is to draw a line for a sled to follow, and that's about it. It's actually kind of hard but if you have a drawing pad it's a lot better. Try it out here then watch the video and dwell on how horrible you are at this game.
2 New PSPs
In an attempt to sell more systems, Sony intends to release 2 new versions of the PSP. One of the new versions will come with a hard drive while the other will just have a lot of flash memory. I think they just need better games.

Some 5.5G iPods Ship With Windows Virus
It would seem that a "small number" of iPods shipped after Sept. 12 may be carrying a Windows virus by the name of RavMonE.exe. Apple says that less than 1% of the iPods are carrying the virus and there have been less than 25 cases reported.

20 Things People Don't Know About XP
Here's a few I like.
13. You can start up without needing to enter a user name or password. Select Run... from the start menu and type 'control userpasswords2', which will open the user accounts application. On the Users tab, clear the box for Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer, and click on OK. An Automatically Log On dialog box will appear; enter the user name and password for the account you want to use.
16. The Start Menu can be leisurely when it decides to appear, but you can speed things along by changing the registry entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop/MenuShowDelay from the default 400 to something a little snappier, like 0.
17. You can rename loads of files at once in Windows Explorer. Highlight a set of files in a window, then right click on one and rename it. All the other files will be renamed to that name, with individual numbers in brackets to distinguish them. Also, in a folder you can arrange icons in alphabetised groups by View, Arrange Icon By... Show In Groups. (Great for pictures)

Overflow Dock Application for Mac
Overflow is a great application for mack that allows users to minimize their dock clutter buy adding a separate interface launchable from the dock in a single click. You can use this interface to separate applications, games, documents or any other category and access them quickly with the mouse or keyboard. Overflow is also fully customizable. A handy little app but i still prefer Object Dock for Windows.

Apple Expected to Announce New iPod
Engadget's report word for word. "When it comes to Apple's product roadmap, to say there's an enormous amount of buzz and milling of rumors is a ridiculous understatement. Believe it or not we tend to have to disregard the majority of rumors floating around (or that get sent in to us); that said, when not only one, but multiple trusted sources get in touch to let us know Steve Jobs & Co. are supposedly finally about completed with the wireless / video iPod, we have to take note. Supposedly they're preparing to announce the device in the very near future, which we've been told is both wireless and widescreen (both features we've been waiting for the iPod to take on, since, well, forever) -- you didn't think last month's new nano / new shuffle / iTV event was going to be it for the rest of the year, did you? We'll keep you posted (and so will I)."
IE7 Coming Quick
IE7 is supposedly going to be shipped out with the next batch of Windows patches as a high-priority update.
