Bomberman Land Hits PSP January 2008

Bomberman Land will feature a traditional single-player story mode, more than 50 mini-games and will support Game Sharing. In the single-player mode, you will have the unenviable and no doubt maddening task of restoring "peace and tranquility to the beleaguered Bomberman world" by solving quests and puzzles. And to win over the series faithful, the "classic multiplayer" Battle Pack Mode makes a return.

Sony-made ISO Loader Discovered in New PSP Firmware

An official ISO loader has been found in the latest Sony PSP firmware updates (both 3.50 and 3.51). The file, np9660.prx, has been presumed to run downloaded PSP games (the encrypted ISO image) off of a memory stick.

PSP Firmware 3.30 Includes Free T-Mobile WiFi

T-Mobile is offering their T-Mobile HotSpot service as a free trial with the latest update to the PSP firmware.

Also included is a memory saving mode for the internet browser (In the internet browser, go to Tools -> Settings). Word is, though, if you have custom firmware the upgrade may brick your system.

PlayStation Games for PSP Available for Download

Today, Sony announced five titles for the PSP including Cool Boarders, Crash Bandicoot, Hot Shots Golf 2, Syphon Filter, and Tekken 2. Sony added in a press release that future titles would be made available later this month. PS1 games are $6 via PS3.

PSP Spot Download Stations Comming to US

Circuit City, GameStop, Target, and Toys "R" Us will be receiving the PlayStation Spot service later this month. The kiosks will stream "game demos, movie trailers, music clips, mini-strategy guides, wallpapers and more" to your PSP.

2 New PSPs

In an attempt to sell more systems, Sony intends to release 2 new versions of the PSP. One of the new versions will come with a hard drive while the other will just have a lot of flash memory. I think they just need better games.

Brain Age Creator Heads for PSP

It would seem that Sony has convinced Dr. Kawashima to develop for the PSP. He will be working with Sega and Ubisoft to create Mind Quiz planning to be released in Europe this November.
