Mozilla has a new Firefox extension, called Personas, that makes it a bit easier to add themes to your browser. Built from a prototype that was discussed and tested earlier this year, Personas aims to extend an option for custom browsers without the need to code. They also have the ability to incorporate online components, supporting HTML, CSS, PNG, JPG, SVG, Javascript and Canvas. Personas also offer real time updates during the creation and editing process, so you can see exactly what you’re getting into. Other feature include the ability to select a Persona from the dynamic menus, and designers can add/update themes at any time without updating any software.

Firefox 3 Beta Goes Portable
Want to test out Firefox 3 beta without messing up all of your precious Firefox 2 settings? Easy, just install the portable version. The Portable Apps developers have been doing a great job of pushing out versions of Firefox that can be run from a flash drive within a few days of every major Firefox release lately. And now that Firefox 3 has hit the beta stage, they've started portablizing (is that a word?) it as well.
Download Firefox 3 Beta Portable here.

Your Mission: Spread Firefox One Giant Sticker at a Time
Are you ready to infiltrate society and spread Firefox one sticker at a time? Operation Firefox is currently recruiting agents to place huge 3.5’ Firefox stickers where the world will see them. In addition to worldwide notoriety, you might wind up with a new MacBook Pro or a Nintendo Wii.
Operation Firefox began last summer as a project initiated by the Mozilla Marketing interns. We had seen what the Mozilla community produced before, including the New York Times ad, the Firefox crop circle, and the Firefox Flicks contest, and decided to step up to the challenge and create another opportunity for Mozilla fans to show off their creativity.
This newest campaign puts 3.5 foot Firefox stickers in the hands of our community and looks for creative new ways to share Firefox with the world. Ultimately, our goal is to get 50 great photos of the Firefox logo in situations that promote some of the defining characteristics of the Web browser–performance, security, customization, and community.
The contest is two-tiered: first, we’re putting out a call for the 50 best “placements” for these stickers (due November 9th). Then, the most creative agents will receive a fathead sticker to complete their mission: take a photograph and submit before December 3rd. All 50 photos will be displayed on the Operation Firefox website, but the four best ones will receive a new MacBook Pro or Nintendo Wii.
Do you think you have what it takes to be an Operation Firefox agent? To learn more about the contest and how to participate, visit www.operationfirefox.com.

Use Firefox as a Windows File Manager
Never thought about doing this before, but if you have the IE Tab extension for Firefox you can set it to always open "file:///*" in an IE tab and create bookmarks to your folders. All you have to do is copy the folder location into the address bar with a "file:///" prefix, replace all the "\" with a "/", and replace spaces with %20. Locationbar is also a great extension to go with this because you can then click on the root folders in the address bar (like Windows Vista) to go back.

WMP Firefox Plug-In for Windows Vista
If you have Windows Vista and your running Firefox, you may have noticed that you cannot download the missing plug-in for embedded Windows Media. Microsoft doesn't even offer the plug-in for Vista, however, you can download npdsplay.dll, npwmsdrm.dll, and npdrmv2.dll and manually place them into your "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins" folder. Viola, problem solved.
